Travelling Australia makes us incredibly proud of what our country has to offer our visitors.
It is impossible to tire of city breaks in Sydney and Melbourne or to be jaded by the natural beauty of the Kimberley, Far North Queensland, Tasmania and other special places.
Having said that, I can totally see why folks from overseas might baulk at travel times and prices in our fair land. It is easy to forgive friends that we meet in other countries that tell us ‘We never made it past Sydney/Melbourne when we visited Australia’. And while non-English speakers are unlikely to be reading this website… we see few resources that would help folks to navigate the place in other languages.
But I like to think those things are outweighed by a certain amount of charm.
Food is always an important part of our travels – and when traveling to Australian cities I always have a list of restaurants far longer than is possible to cover in the small number of mealtimes I have. This is particularly so in Sydney and Melbourne, but we have a few gems in the West as well.
Our travels in Australia are a range of mini-breaks that we have sometimes added on to work trips or visits for specific events and we have managed to see a fair bit of the continent that way. As we have been to Sydney and Melbourne a couple of times, we will tell you about our ‘greatest hits’ there.
